Advice for the morning of your wedding

Advice for the morning of your wedding is something I am often asked. The morning of your wedding day can be one of the most exciting and nerve-wracking times of your life. It’s a time filled with anticipation, joy, and maybe even a little bit of stress. As a wedding planner, I’ve seen it all, and I know just how important it is to start the day off on the right foot. So, here’s my advice for the morning of your wedding:

Get a Good Night’s Sleep

First things first, make sure you get a good night’s sleep the night before your wedding. It can be tempting to stay up late chatting with friends and family who have travelled from far and wide to celebrate with you, but trust me, you’ll feel so much better if you get some rest. Make sure your room is quiet and dark, and consider using earplugs to help you fall asleep.

Eat a Nutritious Breakfast

It’s easy to forget about breakfast when you’re caught up in the excitement of your wedding day, my advice for the morning of your wedding is that it’s important to fuel your body with some nutritious food. Eating a healthy breakfast will give you the energy you need to get through the day, and it can help calm your nerves.

Give Yourself Plenty of Time

My advice for the morning of your wedding is that on your wedding day, time is your friend. Make sure you give yourself plenty of it to get ready. Rushing around will only make you feel more stressed and anxious, so try to give yourself at least an hour more than you think you’ll need. That way, you’ll have plenty of time to get dressed, have your hair and makeup done, spend time with your family and bridal party and take some pre-wedding photos.

Stay Hydrated

Drinking water is essential for good health and can help keep you calm on your wedding day. Make sure you have a bottle of water with you at all times and take small sips throughout the day. Avoid caffeine and sugary drinks, as they can make you feel jittery and anxious.

Delegate Tasks

You don’t have to do everything on your wedding day. Delegate tasks to your bridal party, family members, and Suppliers. For example, ask your maid of honour to be in charge of your emergency kit, or ask your caterer to make sure there are plenty of snacks and drinks available for you and your bridal party in the morning. Remember, you don’t have to be in charge of everything on your wedding day, delegate, delegate, delegate!

Take a Moment for Yourself

Amidst all the excitement and chaos of your wedding day, it’s important to take a moment for yourself. Find a quiet place to sit and take a few deep breaths. This will help you stay calm and centred throughout the day.

Keep your morning preparation room tidy

Ensure that your room is kept tidy, there is nothing worse than receiving your morning preparation photo’s back from your photographer and having a messy background. Just ask someone to keep an eye on rubbish and empty packaging and just keep everything as tidy as you can.

In conclusion, my advice for the morning of your wedding is that the morning can be a bit of a whirlwind, but with a little bit of planning and preparation, you can make it a smooth and enjoyable experience. Remember to take care of yourself, stay hydrated, and delegate tasks to others. Above all, take a moment to savour the excitement and joy of the day. Congratulations and happy planning!
